An odd title for a web technology company but allow me to explain why this is important...

May be you stumbled on this post to see what kind of shenanigans we're pulling, or how smart is a penguin, really? Let me explain.

We are a website company that focuses on modern design and mobile browsing, we are constantly striving to meet the demands of our clients by providing a sleek looking site with the backbone of SEO (search engine optimization) baked right in.  Creating a complex website that has all the bells and whistles but easy enough for a tech savvy-less client is always the challenge.  We do our best to explain how it all works even though the landscape seems to change constantly. New standards in design like HTML 5 is replacing former scripts like javascript and flash.  As technology advances, visitors expect more robust ways to search, read, view, and connect on all levels of the www. All this said, let me enlighten you on something that is happening that you may not be aware of, and you don't want to forget it.

In February 2011 a company we call, El Goog or, Google changed the game.  Was it changed for the better?  In most ways yes, but many business will fall by the wayside if they don't adapt.  The game changer that Google made was code named "Panda", and another change which later became "Penguin".

Google, unlike Kentucky Fried Chicken, changed their recipe.

The Algorithm - a set of rules for solving a problem in a finite number of steps,as for finding the greatest common divisor. They started using artificial intelligence in new ways to enforce the best practices guidelines Google had long provided to those seeking to optimize their websites. What does that mean?  Many companies tried to cheat the system using tricks to bump their website up in the search rankings.  With Panda and Penguin, these algorithm changes help to curve these results. A major trend and staple of marketing today is the use of Facebook and Twitter, not to mention all the other social platforms.  These social networks are the result of exponential gains in terms of reaching people and the right audience to target.  Websites alone are no longer the cornerstone for web presence, it's also your social reach.

SEO used to be Search Engine Optimization and now shifted to "Social" Engine Optimization. The way people interact with your product or service tells Google how good it is.  Before, a companies credibility came from their own inflation and blowin' smoke.  Today transparency through social media interaction, how people like, tweet, and share your product and service can determine where your company will rank in search results.

We repeatedly tell our clients that they must fire on all cylinders.  Open a Facebook Page, create a Twitter account, upload pics with Instagram, Share on Tumblr!  The task can seem daunting but in order to survive the rat race of today's market, we must be socially engaged and interact with people.  Blogging can be a first step toward social interaction and we build every website with blog platform to use.  So how does a penguin determine if your website is failing?  Only Google knows. We've had a busy summer with weddings, commercial, and event video production! We were privileged to work with the Young Actors Guild on 2 of their headline plays: 'Les Miserables', a 2 1/2 hour live play performed at the PAC in Alma, Arkansas. This journey included: documentary footage of the rehearsal, with Gary Moore, former lead role for this play on Broadway, interviews, and filming of the opening night!  These kids are impressive to say the least! We also provided video production for 'Rapunzel' which debuted at the Fort Smith Convention Center in early August.

Ok, I'm not into the whole novelty shop stuff like "I was at Six Flags" or "I Heart Branson' T-Shirts but I found a cool thing today that I've got to have it! What a journey! 3 months into renovations, we are officially open for business. Outside neon sign will be glowing in downtown Fort Smith before long...

Our two story studio features a front-end meeting area complete with snacks and coffee bar (a must have). Office space for web and app development. Our upstairs loft is equipped with studio lighting and backdrops for photogs and video production.  Great things happening here and with the media projects in the field.
